The 134th branch of Mother Bank, named after Dr. Tewabech Bishaw, a prominent female role model, opened on Saturday at Gofa Gabriel. In the leadership of health services at various levels in the health sector both inside and beyond the nation, Dr. Tewabech Bishaw has made major contributions.
Dr. Tewabech is a role model who has received various honors for his work in the medical industry and other fields on the national and international levels.
She is also the mother of renowned musicians Munit Mesfen and Jorga Mesfen.
“One morning, they called me and threatened to open an Enat Bank branch using my identity. I was shocked and questioned whether I deserved this. In any event, I must express my gratitude to the bank for giving me this opportunity. And I’m aware that the Enat Bank started by women have contributed to the expansion of the financial sector.”
In order to promote brain gain for Ethiopia’s sustainable development and capacity building, Dr. Tewbech founded and serves as the managing director of ABIDE (Alliance for Brain Gain and Innovative Development), an Ethiopian nongovernmental organization.
She served as the Ethiopian PublicHealth Association’s president as well.
Enat Bank was established by eleven women, and this year marks its eleventh anniversary.
