Reverend Abai Melse, a priest of the church in Addis Abeba’s Haile Garment district, was reportedly stoned to death yesterday while leaving a church session. reports Mehabre Kidusan TV.
Reverend Abai, a minister at Horsisa St. Mary’s Church, claimed that the matter was only discovered after his passing away. According to TV reports, informants revealed who was present at the incident and that threats and intimidation had previously been made against the clergy in the area.
According to the priest, they attempted to capture photos and videos to demonstrate that they had been stoned, but local security personnel informed us that the equipment would be seized.
