The Holy Synod’s Secretary General, Abune Petros, paid a visit to the Sunday school convicts at Sheger City’s Furi K/City 04 Police Station today. According to His Holiness, more than 150 inmates were released following the discussion with police leaders.
In the name of the Holy Church, His Highness thanked the prosecutor and police authorities for their warm welcome and greetings during his visit.
Abune Petros then indicated that he had received assurances from the police that the other convicts detained at the police station would be released in a matter of days.
