Ashara Media May 16, 2023 Bahir Dar, Ethiopia Urgent News Starting this evening, the Oromo Prosperity Party (OPP) army, local police and militias have been conducting coordinated operations in the East and West Gojjam Zones of Amhara Region, Ethiopia. The Oromo forces wearing ENDF uniforms in the East and West Gojjam areas of Abay Sheleqoma in coordination with police and militias have received orders to start new offensives, according to insider sources. The soldiers under the direction of police and militias saying, “there are Fano and organize forces training in various woredas in the Gojjam area”. The OPP army have entered, organized at various levels to carry out attacks in the Wenberma woreda, Bure Zuriya, Quch Nius, Jobi Tenan, Denbecha zuriya, and Debre Elias Woredas. Calls have been issued for residents of East and West Gojjam to organize at a local level and prepare to defend families. In addition to this, residents have been called upon to close roads, reject grain and water bribes, provide intel to Fano patriots and to take necessary precautions. They have stressed that the local administration and security forces are accountable for any wrongdoing which may arise in the Gojjam area.
