ADDIS ABABA – Teshome Toga, Ethiopian ambassador in China, held a fruitful discussion with the vice president of CGCOC Group, Gao Lei, on ways in which the company can make investments on the green development projects, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting on Thursday, attended by the Managing Director of CGCOC’s East African Branch, discussed projects focusing on Solar Energy, Electric City Bus and Juncao Technology.
In the discussion, Ambassador Teshome noted that the Ethiopian Government is committed to carry on Green Development Projects.
In doing so encourage companies like CGCOC to invest in Ethiopia, said the ambassador.
Ethiopia is gifted with significant renewable energy resources, with huge potential of hydro, solar, wind, and geothermal power.
Ambassador Teshome called on the company to work in a joint venture with Ethiopian investors who have interests in related areas.
Ethiopia, as the home of the largest livestock population in Africa, the embassy will provide the necessary support to CGCOC to realize ”Juncao Technology ” which is a reputable project that works mainly on animal fodder and mushroom productions.
The Chinese company is an international enterprise with businesses covering many countries around the world.
Its Vice president Lei said the company presented three new matching projects in the area as Ethiopia prioritized working on Green Development Projects.
CGCOC is committed to execute those projects by working together with Ethiopian local businesses, he added.
