COVID: Ethiopia Records Zero Deaths, 18 Cases

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has recorded zero COVID-19 disease related fatalities for ten consecutive days, data from the ministry of health shows.

In a report to, the ministry of health says the national death toll remains at 7,510 after the nation recorded no Covid-19 patient today.



The nation last recorded a Coronavirus-induced fatality ten days ago, on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

The Ministry also says 18 people have tested positive for coronavirus from more than 4, 400 tests conducted in the past twenty-four hours.

The confirmed cases count now stands at 470, 568.

Eight Covid patients also recuperated from the disease in the reported period, taking the recovery tally to 455, 383.

The nation currently has 7673 confirmed active cases of Covid-19. Eleven of them are seriously sick, reports the ministry.



Its report also shows the vaccine drive stays at a stand still after offering zero dose of Covid-19 vaccine in the past 24-hours period.

Ethiopia launched its vaccine drive in March 2021. To date, it has administered more than 29.41m doses of the vaccine. About 24.5 million of its citizens are also fully vaccinated against the Coronavirus.
