EBC signs deal with Sew Mehon Film Productions to adapt ‘Fiker Eske Mekaber’ into a TV series

The Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) has officially signed an agreement with Sew ke Mehon Production to adapt the novel ‘Fiker Eske Mekaber’ (Love to the Grave) into a television drama series.

EBC CEO Fiseha Yitagesu and renowned film director Sew Mehon yesmaw signed the contract at the new ABC Media Complex in Shegole.

ABC has agreed to adapt the novel into a four-season, 48-episode television drama series, according to the signing ceremony.

Each episode of the drama lasts 45 minutes on average and costs 863,75 (eight hundred and sixty-three thousand and seventy-five) Birr, including VAT.

Because the book contains historical content, it was agreed at the signing ceremony to adapt the original book’s story into a non-distracting and non-exaggerated TV series.

‘Sew Mehon Film Production’ has agreed to deliver the first phase of the drama, i.e. the finished works (Episodes 1-12), within five months, and the entire project (48 episodes), within nine months, to the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation.
