Ethiopia, Djibouti to hold join border administrators meeting

ADDIS ABABA – The Ethiopian Delegation led by State Minister of Peace, Frealem Shibabaw is in Djibouti to take part in 27th Ethio-Djibouti Joint Border Administrators and Commissioners Meeting.

The meeting started on Saturday and will continue until Monday, September 6, 2021.

The delegation was received by Saed Nouh Hassan, Minister of Interior of the Republic of Djibouti and Berhanu Tsegaye, Ambassador of Ethiopia to Djibouti upon arrival.

The joint meeting is expected to deliberate on issues of mutual interests with greater emphasis on the way to enhance the existing cooperation along the two country’s common border areas in social and economic sectors.

It will also discuss ways to further scale up the collaboration in the prevention of illegal activities, and strengthen peace and security across their shared border areas and economic corridors.
