Ethiopia, Djibouti to hold joint border administrators meeting

ADDIS ABABA – The Ethiopian Delegation led by State Minister of Peace, Frealem Shibabaw is in Djibouti to take part in 27th Ethio-Djibouti Joint Border Administrators and Commissioners Meeting.

The two-day meeting will be held starting from Sunday September 5, 2021.

The delegation was received by Saed Nouh Hassan, Minister of Interior of Djibouti and Berhanu Tsegaye, Ambassador of Ethiopia to Djibouti upon arrival on Saturday.

The joint meeting is expected to deliberate on issues of mutual interests with greater emphasis on the way to enhance the existing cooperation along the two country’s common border areas in social and economic sectors.

It will also discuss ways to further scale up the collaboration in the prevention of illegal activities, and strengthen peace and security across their shared border areas and economic corridors.
