ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia’s Covid-19 cases count has reached 444, 124 after its Ministry of Health confirmed 785 fresh infections on Sunday.
The country confirmed the latest positive cases after testing more than 4,500 people in the past twenty-four hours.
Ten more Coronavirus-induced deaths have also been registered in the same period, taking the national death toll to 7,030.
The severe cases total has dropped by 54 as compared to the previous day.
The are now 381 severely sick patients receiving medical treatments in hospitals, says report that puts the confirmed active cases at 73, 639.
As many as 1,886 patients have recuperated from the acute respiratory disease in the last 24-hours.
The national recoveries tally currently stands at 363,453, according to the report.
Today’s report shows the country has not provided the Covid-19 vaccine for two consecutive days as the national vaccine drive stagnate.
The East African nation started providing the Covid-19 vaccine to its citizens on March 13, 2021 – a week after it received 2.2 million AstraZeneca vaccines from the COVAX Facility.
So far, nearly 11 million doses have been provided to the public while fully immunizing over 9.36 million people.
