According to the Ethiopian government, it would not respect the Arab League’s decision on the Renaissance Dam that was made today.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ethiopian government expressed its displeasure with the most recent Arab League conference.
The Ministry claims that the decision deliberately undermines the African Union’s and its member countries’ attempts to resolve the dam problem through peaceful negotiation.
It further emphasised how the resolution is a particular decision at variance with the long-standing ties between Arab and African countries.
