Ethiopian Airlines Commences New Service to Warsaw, its 24th Destination in Europe

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopian Airlines has commenced new passenger flight services to Warsaw, the capital and largest city of Poland, via Athens.

Ethiopian, Africa’s largest network operating carrier, launched the four times-weekly flight services to Warsaw as of July 1, 2024.

The inaugural flight departed from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport in a colorful ceremony attended by senior government officials including state minister of Foreign Affairs Misganu Arga, and Poland’s Ambassador to Ethiopia Przemysław Bobak.



Ethiopian sees the new service as a “significant milestone” in its bid to enhance global connectivity and promote commerce and tourism.

The commencement of the flight service to Poland’s Capital city increases Ethiopian Airlines’ destination in Europe to 24. 

The route, ET 764 from Addis Ababa to Warsaw via Athens, is operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Return flight ET 765 from Warsaw to Addis Ababa via Athens would be on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

The launch of the new flight is part of the airline’s push to meet the growing demand for air travel in the Africa-Europe route. Ethiopian says  it “remains committed to service excellence” which helped the airline to receive several accolades last month alone.

The national flag carrier won in four categories at the SKYTRAX World Airlines Award 2024. It was also honored with ‘Best Entertainment’ and ‘Best Wi-Fi’ in Africa at the 2024 APEX Passenger Choice Awards.
