ADDIS ABABA – The Ethiopian Premier League will kick off on Sunday with two matches scheduled on the opening day.
Adama Kenema will first meet the newly promoted Ethiopia Nigd Bank FC followed by an encounter between Sidama Bunna and Ethiopian Coffee.
The Adama Science and Technology University Stadium will host both matches and the rest of the opening-day fixtures in the new season.
The defending champions Sent George and runners-up Bahir Dar City FC must wait until Oct 8 for their respective opening games.
Saint George will look to leave behind their disappointing 7-0 aggregate defeat to Egypt’s Al Ahly in CAF Champions League when they meet Wolkite City on Sunday.
Bahir Dar Kenema, who are looking to qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup group stage, will also meet Ethiopian Medhin.
