High-level Saudi Investment Delegation in Ethiopia on Official Visit

ADDIS ABABA – A 79-member Saudi Arabian trade and investment delegation kicked off a three-day official visit to Ethiopia today.

The visit is intended to foster and diversify the economic relations between the two countries, says the Foreign Ministry.

The delegation – led by the President of the Federation of Saudi Arabian Chambers of Commerce – is composed of investors representing major Saudi companies and officials from the Chamber of Commerce.

Up on their arrival at addis Ababa Airport, they were welcomed by senior government officials including Planning and Development Minister Fitsum Assefa, Tourism Minister Nasise Chali, and State Minister of Foreign Affairs Mesganu Arga.

During the three-day visit, the Ministry of foreign affairs says the Saudi Arabian delegation will partake in various activities and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Association.

The Saudi Arabian investors will also participate in a trade and investment forum and visit notable sites.

The site visits include the Eastern Industrial Park, Chaka Project, Alema Koudijits; Animal Feed Producing Complex, and Adwa Victory Memorial Museum.
