ADDIS ABABA – Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Ethiopia as part of its five-day African trip, beginning on Sunday.
Lavrov’s planned trip to Africa, involving a visit to four countries, comes ahead of the Russia-Africa summit that will take place this year.
The Russian FM will arrive in Addis Ababa on Tuesday for a two-day working visit, according to Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ethiopia.
“During his stay in Ethiopia, Mr. Lavrov will meet High-level government officials to discuss the longstanding and historical relationship between the two countries,” the Ministry added.
The Minister and the Ethiopian officials plan to review the status of agreements the two countries signed previously.
