ADDIS ABABA – The Ministry of Education has today announced the schedules for two major nationwide exams for the 2022/23 Ethiopian academic year.
These exams are the Ethiopian University Exit Exam as well as the Grade 12 National Exam.
This year’s first degree graduates will be the first to be tested as the ministry rolls out the exit exam as part of its sector reform that aims to elevate the education quality at universities and colleges.
More than 200,000 first-degree candidates from both private and public higher institutions expected to take the exit tests in selected subjects nationwide.
The exam will be administered in public university campuses from June 10 to June 23, the Ministry of Education has announced.
As per the Ministry, Public universities will also continue to host the grade 12 National exam, also known as the Ethiopian University Entrance Exam, for the second year in a row.
The 2022/23 academic year exam has been slated for July.
The exam will be conducted from July 26 to August 5, according to the timetable . .
All public universities have been given a July 22 deadline to finish their preparation and start welcoming examinees.
More than 896, 500 pupils took the high school leaving exam last year but only 29, 909 students, or 3.3% of the total examinees, managed to score 50% and above.
