Bahir Dar Kenema seek to protect first-leg advantage when they face Tunisia’s Club Africain on Sunday for a spot in the group stage of the 2023/25 CAF Confederation Cup.
The Waves of Tana hold a 2-0 aggregate lead Tunisian side from their opening encounter at home.
The return leg is scheduled to be played at Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi on Sunday afternoon.
Bahir Dar will be the only Ethiopian club in the continental club competition if they progress to the group stages of Africa’s secondary club competition.
The other Ethiopian club, Saint George, crashed out of the CAF Champions League campaign early after a 0-4 defeat to Egypt’s Al Ahly on Friday
The two clubs played the two-legged playoff final round at Cairo International Stadium where Al Ahly put on a dominant display to secure a commanding 7-0 aggregate victory.
The emphatic result means Al Ahly advanced to the lucrative Champions League group stage as they target a record-extending 11th African crown.
