The delegation’s arrival in Ethiopia will improve relations between the two countries even more, according to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Demeke Mekonen, who was speaking during the conversation in Addis Abeba.
He emphasized that the government is working on investment-friendly policies and concentrating on other industries like agriculture, manufacturing, mining, and tourism.
Demeke said that the two countries’ relations should be more varied and urged Pakistani investors to benefit from Ethiopia’s welcoming investment environment.
They expressed their wish that the Ethiopian Airlines flight to Pakistan would lead to a personal improvement in relations between the two countries.
According to Shozab Abbas, the Pakistani ambassador to Ethiopia, the delegation’s arrival in Ethiopia is a part of efforts to strengthen the economic ties between the two countries.
In certain situations, the countries can work together by utilizing their respective expertise in mining, energy development for agriculture, and other industries, particularly in the field of agriculture.
According to the Pakistani business community, Ethiopia has a sizable market for rice, pharmaceutical products, medical equipment, sporting goods, and construction supplies.
To help meet the nation’s rising food demand, businesspeople in Pakistan could import Ethiopian agricultural goods like coffee, tea, pulses, oilseeds, and vegetables.
Last year, trade between Pakistan and Ethiopia totaled just $78 million.
