The foreign minister of Ethiopia and the US secretary of state consult on bilateral issues

Anthony Blinken, the American secretary of state, spoke with Demeke Mekonon, the deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs.

According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as they conversed, they asked for advice on a variety of topics.

Blinken is expected to meet with civic groups and humanitarian organizations to discuss aid distribution, food security, and human rights in addition to his meeting with the African Union Commission Chairman, Musa Faki Mahamat.
