U.S. Embassy Addis Ababa We are honored to share that Meaza Mohammed, independent journalist and advocate, has joined 10 other incredible women from around the world for the annual International Women of Courage Award. She is the first to represent #Ethiopia at this event and one of two from Africa this year. Meaza has been recognized for being a fearless voice for women who have been victims of gender-based violence and who were impacted by conflict. Her investigative journalism and her willingness to speak out against injustice, even at great personal risk, is an inspiration.
