World Cup: Morocco Hold Croatia to Goalless Draw

Morocco held Croatia, runners-up four years ago, to a goalless draw at the world cup in Qatar on Wednesday.

There were just attempts on target from both teams in the match played at Al Bayt Stadium.

Morocco, who are ranked 22nd, was impressive but failed to create clear-cut opportunities.

Croatia, who are 12th in Fifa’s world rankings, dominated possession but were unable to create opportunities or break down Morocco.

The north African nation’s national team have only lost two of their past 40 games across three years.

It was the third goalless draw at the Qatar tournament in the space of 24 hours, and chances were at a premium with both defenses on top.

Three of the last four games at the World Cup have finished 0-0, more goalless draws than there were in the previous 73 matches in the competition combined.
